Master (Graduate) Studies
After completing the master studies of Security and Crime Science (300 ECTS), students are fully qualified for self-devised scientific research and professional work, as well as continuing their education at the doctoral level.
SThe programme lasts for two semesters. All subjects are single-semester. There is at least one elective subject per semester. Students choose an elective course from the range of specialized courses related to the application of acquired knowledge and skills. In the final semester, students are required to do a self-devised research paper as a mandatory course.
Grading is carried out in accordance with the principles of continuous evaluation, based on pre-exam activities and final oral exam.
Professional Title
Upon completing the programme and acquiring a total of 300 ECTS points, the student acquires the professional title of Master of Security Management.
Structure
Master academic studies last for one years (two semesters). The total class load (lecture classes, practice classes, practical work, and research) amounts to 60 ECTS respectively. Students are graded in accordance with the principles of continuous evaluation, based on pre-exam activities and final oral exam.

Enrolment
Applicants who have BA (undergraduate) studies completed are all eligible candidates and can apply for the admission. Applicants who have completed the four-year BA (undergraduate) studies (240 ECTS) in a non-related discipline, and wish to apply for the Security and Crime Science master programme, are required to take supplementary exams. These include: Crime Science I, Crime Science II, Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure Law, Fundamentals of Security, Public Security, Private Security and Individual and Property Protection Systems.
Students are required to take and pass all the supplementary exams before taking the master level exams. The selection of supplementary exams will depend solely on the BA studies previously completed. The decision will be made by an exam recognition committee appointed by the Department of Security and Crime Science.
Documents
Enrolment candidates must submit the following documentation:
- certified photocopy of the BA academic studies diploma;
- birth certificate
- 2 passport size photos;
- deposit slip for a RSD 5,000 enrolment fee deposited into the Faculty’s transfer account no. 160-930468-41.
When registering, applicants are also required to submit a deposit slip for the payment of the first instalment of tuition fees amounting to €380 (in RSD equivalent, according to the NBS (National Bank of Serbia) middle exchange rate on the day of registering), deposited into the Faculty’s transfer account no.160-930468-41. When filling out deposit slips, applicants need to enter their personal identification number in the reference number field.
Enrolment applications can be submitted at the Faculty premises Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday:
- Novi Sad: 76 Bulevar Oslobođenja (at the Dean’s Office on the 2nd floor every work day or at the Registrar's Office on the 1st floor on Saturdays)
Tuition Fee
Based on the Decision of the Faculty Council:
- tuition fee for the 2019-2020 academic year are €1,550 paid in RSD equivalent;
- tuition fee can be paid in several instalments (the first instalment of €380 to be paid on enrolment + nine monthly instalments of €130 each) or in full, with a 5% discount;
- Faculty students are insured through Generali Insurance Serbia.
Tuition fees for master academic studies do not cover the following::
- exam registration;
- issuing of the certificate of exams passed;
- issuing of the certified study plan and programme;
- textbooks for master studies;
- Master’s Thesis defence;
- issuing the diploma of completion.

Upon completion of the master programme, students can apply for specialist and (or) doctoral studies in Serbia and abroad.
