Undergraduate Courses
The Dr Lazar Vrkatic Faculty of Law and Business Studies is enrolling students in the following study programmes offered in the 2018/2019 academic year: Law, Business Psychology, Security and Crime Science, and English Language. All interested applicants with completed four-year secondary education may apply for admission provided that, in addition to submitting the necessary documentation, they have successfully completed an entrance exam or have successfully passed a recognised entrance exam at another faculty or institution of higher education, and are therefore eligible for admission.
NOVI SAD:
- Law - 50 students (three-year undergraduate study programme, 180 ECTS);
- Business Psychology - 120 students (three-year undergraduate study programme, 180 ECTS);
- Security and Crime Science - 90 students (four-year undergraduate study programme, 240 ECTS);
- English Language - 90 students (four-year undergraduate study programme, 240 ECTS);
NIŠ:
- Law - 30 students (three-year undergraduate study programme, 180 ECTS);
- Corporate and Civilian Security Management - 50 students (three-year undergraduate study programme, 180 ECTS).
Recognition of the Entrance Exam from Other Related Faculties
All applicants who have successfully passed the entrance exam for the 2018/2019 academic year at other related faculties (earning minimum 14 points) may be enrolled in the Dr. Lazar Vrkatic Faculty of Law and Business Studies without retaking the exam. Results of successful applicants who took the test in 2017/2018 may also be recognised in accordance with the above criteria.
Transferring from Another Faculty
Applicants enrolled in academic studies at other faculties or higher education institutions may be enrolled in the Dr. Lazar Vrkatic Faculty of Law and Business Studies without taking the entrance exam.
Students transferring from other institutions of higher education must submit the following:
- application for enrolment in a study programme (enrolment form to be provided when applying);
- academic transcripts;
- certified curriculum and study programme (from the time when the applicant was studying);
The following documentation is also required:
- birth certificate;
- certified photocopies of secondary school transcripts for all the four years attended;
- certified photocopy of secondary school diploma;
- 2 passport size photos;
- deposit slip for a RSD 5,000 enrolment fee deposited into the Faculty’s transfer account no. 160-930468-41.
Enrolment applications can be submitted at the Faculty premises Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday.
Entrance Exam
Entrance exam applicants must submit the following documentation:
- birth certificate;
- certified photocopies of secondary school transcripts for all the four years attended;
- certified photocopy of the secondary school diploma;
- 2 passport size photos;
- deposit slip for a RSD 5,000 enrolment fee deposited into the Faculty’s transfer account no. 160-930468-41.

Note:
- preliminary ranking list will be published a day after the entrance exam, including a total number of points gained in accordance with the criteria established by the rules specified herein;
- applicants who believe that the preliminary ranking is inaccurate may file a complaint with the Dean of the Faculty within 24 hours of the Faculty’s publishing of the preliminary ranking list. The Dean shall pass a decision related to the complaint within 24 hours of its filing;
- appeals against a Dean’s decision may be lodged with the Faculty Council within three days of the receipt of the decision. The Council shall decide on the appeal within three days of its receipt;
- after deciding on all the appeals lodged, the Faculty shall finalise and publish the final ranking list of applicants, serving as the basis of their enrolment.
The ranking list will be published on the bulletin board and the Faculty’s website one day after the entrance exam.
Documents
When submitting enrolment and entrance exam applications, applicants who meet all the criteria must submit the following:
- birth certificate;
- certified photocopies of secondary school transcripts for all the four years attended;
- certified photocopy of the secondary school diploma;
- 2 passport size photos;
- deposit slip for a RSD 5,000 enrolment fee deposited into the Faculty’s transfer account no. 160-930468-41.
When registering, applicants are also required to submit a deposit slip for the payment of the first instalment of tuition fees amounting to €380 (in RSD equivalent, according to the NBS (National Bank of Serbia) middle exchange rate on the day of registering), deposited into the Faculty’s transfer account no.160-930468-41.
When filling out deposit slips, applicants need to enter their personal identification number in the reference number field.
Applicants who have successfully passed the entrance exam at our Faculty may be enrolled in the 2018/2019 academic year as soon as the entrance exam results are published.
Applicants who have passed the entrance exam at a related accredited institution of higher education may be enrolled until the beginning of the 2018/2019 academic year, subject to enrolment quotas.
All applicants who have successfully passed the entrance exam for the 2019/2020 academic year at other related faculties (earning minimum 14 points) may be enrolled at the Dr. Lazar Vrkatic Faculty of Law and Business Studies without retaking the entrance exam.
Enrolment and entrance exam applications can be submitted at the Faculty premises Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday.
Criteria for Ranking of Applicants
- overall secondary school academic standing - maximum 40 points (academic achievements for each of the four secondary school years are summed up and multiplied by 2);
- results of the entrance exam - maximum 60 points (with minimum 14 points required for passing the exam).
Tuition Fees
Based on the Decision of the Faculty Council:
- tuition fees for the 2018/2019 academic year are €1,550 paid in RSD equivalent;
- tuition fees can be paid in several instalments (the first instalment of €380 to be paid on enrolment + nine monthly instalments of €130 each) or in full, with a 5% discount;
- Faculty students are insured through Generali Insurance Serbia.
* Tuition fees for undergraduate academic studies do not cover the following:
- exam registration;
- issuing of an academic transcript;
- issuing of a certified curriculum and study programme;
- bachelor thesis defence;
- issuing of a diploma.
Preparation Courses
Every year, the Dr. Lazar Vrkatic Faculty of Law and Business Studies organises free preparation classes and consultations for the entrance exams for all study programmes.
During prep classes, prospective students also get to know the teaching staff and the institution itself, and learn about opportunities available to them during the studies.
Lazar Vrkatic Foundation Scholarships
- in the 2018/2019 academic year, the holders of Vuk's secondary school diploma (a certificate of excellence for secondary school students) are not required to pay tuition fees for the first year of studies;
- applicants coming from social welfare institutions and foster families with A-grade academic achievement throughout secondary school are not required to pay tuition fees for the first year of studies;
- applicants coming from social welfare institutions and foster families whose average grade throughout secondary school is 4.00 (B) or higher, are required to pay only 50% of tuition fees for the first year of studies.
